Carved, cast or modelled figures and monuments made for devotion, such as colossal Buddha statues, the Pietà of Michelangelo, Jain monumental figures and Roman imperial altars. An entry belongs here when its article treats the work as a three dimensional sacred or commemorative object. It excludes small reliefs on seals and amulets, which sit with the regional art groups.
