The Gulshani, known in Turkish as Gulseni, is a Halveti sub-order founded by Pir Ibrahim Gulshani, a Turkoman Sufi sheikh from Eastern Anatolia who died in Egypt. When the Ottomans conquered Egypt the order became popular among soldiers of the Ottoman army there, and it was later carried back to Diyarbakir and Istanbul, where several zawiyas or tekkes were established. Ibrahim al-Gulshani is buried at a zawiya in Cairo built between 1519 and 1524, now abandoned and included on the World Monuments Fund's 2018 list of monuments at risk, and a related Gulsheni-Sezai suborder was established by Romani Sufis in Uskudar.
