All Vengeful Ghosts (Mythical Creatures)

Ghosts that return to take revenge for a wrong or a violent death, such as the Indian churel, the Japanese onryo and the Malay pontianak. An entry belongs here when its article describes a ghost driven by a grievance. The group page lists related creatures together so that a reader can compare how one kind of being appears across cultures and stories. Entries are placed by what their own article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group that its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
