Wikipedia notes that each Veda divides into "the Samhitas (mantras and benedictions), the Brahmanas (commentaries on and explanation of rituals, ceremonies and sacrifices), the Aranyakas ..., and the Upanishads (texts discussing meditation, philosophy and spiritual knowledge)." Browsing by literary-form lets a visitor tell a hymn collection from a philosophical commentary.
