Quartz is sold as a crystal that stores, amplifies and can be programmed with intention, on an analogy with its use in electronics. The analogy is asserted, not argued, and the atlas records the claim as a claim. Clear quartz genuinely is piezoelectric, the property that makes it a timekeeper in watches and a component in radios, a real physical fact this atlas's own description states plainly. What is debunked is the further step from a measured electrical property to a claimed metaphysical one, a step nobody has shown any working for.
Not Ancient at All
The paired origin-period facts date the metaphysical master-crystal tradition to 1970 through 1990, not to any ancient lapidary or alchemical source. The stone is ancient; the belief system built around it, clear, amplifying, programmable, said to work with all the chakras, is a late twentieth century construction placed onto a genuinely old mineral.
