The angels

This group holds angels, the messenger and servant spirits of the Abrahamic traditions, ranked below God and above humanity, who carry the divine word, guard, and worship. Here they appear as named figures of sacred narrative rather than as the graded choirs and magical spirits treated elsewhere in the atlas.

The browser will find the named angels of Jewish, Christian and Islamic tradition. The entries describe each figure's role in scripture and later tradition, noting how the three faiths share and differ over their angelology.
