The Seventh-day Adventist Church held its 61st General Conference Session, the denomination's quinquennial world business meeting, at the America's Center Convention Complex in St. Louis, Missouri, from 6 to 11 June 2022. It was the church's first hybrid session, held both in person and by remote participation, after the session's originally booked Indianapolis venue became unavailable and its originally scheduled 2020 date was postponed by the COVID-19 pandemic.
On the session's opening day, 6 June 2022, delegates voted to accept the Nominating Committee's recommendation and re-elected Ted N. C. Wilson, the church's president since 2010, to a third term as General Conference president for the 2022 to 2025 term. Erton C. Kohler was elected executive secretary and Paul H. Douglas treasurer, alongside him.
What the St. Louis session changed for the Seventh-day Adventist Church's leadership was extending Wilson's presidency into a third quinquennial term, decided on the session's first day rather than after extended floor debate, in a session already reshaped by two disruptions before delegates ever gathered, a lost venue in Indianapolis and a two year postponement from the pandemic, resolved by holding the first General Conference Session the church had ever run as a hybrid gathering.
