An Enochian King entry records a single named figure from the angelic hierarchy John Dee's documented sessions with Edward Kelley produced, one of a set later occultists arranged against the twelve tribes and, through them, the zodiac. Benjamin Rowe's edition of this material states plainly what the primary diaries themselves record and what they do not: the angels instructed Dee to derive a set of these zodiacal attributions from the twelve tribes, and so far as the surviving record shows, Dee himself never finished carrying that instruction out.
An entry therefore records a king's documented name and its later assigned tribal or zodiacal attribution honestly as a reconstruction, following Rowe's own worked completion of an instruction the primary diaries leave unfinished, rather than presenting that attribution as something Dee himself left complete.
Where the diaries themselves are silent on a detail, an entry says so rather than filling the gap with an unstated assumption, since the reconstructed nature of this specific attribution system is itself a documented fact worth recording alongside each king's name. A reader consulting an entry should treat any tribal or zodiacal attribution as later reconstruction work rather than as part of Dee's own finished system, since the surviving diaries record the angels' instruction to build such a table but never record Dee actually completing it.
