Zinggen is one of the twelve Zodiacal Kings of Liber Scientiae, Auxilii et Victoriae Terrestris, John Dee's register of the angelic sessions worked with Edward Kelley in 1584 and 1585. The manuscript shares the ninety-one Parts of the Earth, the Enochian Governors, among twelve Kings, each tied to one tribe of Israel. Zinggen governs the tribe of Zebulun and holds seven Parts.
Zinggen's Parts include Pascomb, the second Part of LIL, the first Aethyr, assigned to Syria; Tiarpax, completing LIT, the fifth, assigned to Oxiana, the country along the river Oxus; Aspiaon, completing DEO, the seventh; Lexarph, opening ZAX, the tenth, assigned to Caspis, usually read as the Caspian region; Omagrap, completing POP, the nineteenth; Zaxanin, completing TOR, the twenty-third; and Soageel, completing NIA, the twenty-fourth, assigned to Chaldea in southern Mesopotamia.
As with every King, the zodiac sign now recorded for Zinggen in modern practice is a later reconstruction laid over the tribe of Zebulun that Dee's manuscript actually names, since the sessions themselves give no method for deriving a sign from a tribe and more than one scheme is in circulation. Zinggen is unrelated to the seven Kings of the Heptarchia, the separate weekday system of De Heptarchia Mystica from the same collaboration.
