Congregation Emanu-El of New York, also known as Temple Emanu-El, is the oldest Reform Jewish congregation in New York City, founded in 1845. Its landmark sanctuary at Fifth Avenue and 65th Street, completed in 1929, is among the largest synagogues in the world. The congregation today serves several thousand member families.
