An art museum in Baltimore, Maryland. In 1999 an anonymous private collector, who had bought the Archimedes Palimpsest at a Christie's auction in October 1998 for two million dollars, deposited the manuscript at the Walters for conservation, multispectral imaging and study, a project the museum led for over a decade.
