Amihan is a deity depicted as a bird in Philippine mythology. According to Tagalog folklore, Amihan was the first creature to inhabit the universe, alongside the gods Bathala and Aman Sinaya, and in the legend Amihan is described as the bird who saved the first human beings, Malakas and Maganda, from within a bamboo plant.
