Devotional Garments

Garments adopted by lay worshippers as an act of devotion rather than as a mark of ordination or office, worn to express piety or fulfil a vow. Unlike clerical dress or vestments, these are not restricted to the ordained, though a given tradition may still set rules about when and by whom they are properly worn.
