Gebabal is one of the twelve Zodiacal Kings of Liber Scientiae, Auxilii et Victoriae Terrestris, the tabulation John Dee compiled from his angelic sessions with Edward Kelley in 1584 and 1585. Twelve Kings, each tied to a tribe of Israel, share the ninety-one Parts of the Earth, the Enochian Governors, among them. Gebabal governs the tribe of Asher and holds seven Parts.
Gebabal's Parts are Zamfres, opening ZID, the eighth Aethyr, assigned to Mantiana; Tedoond, opening UTA, the fourteenth, assigned to Paphlogonia, the classical Paphlagonia; Nabaomi, opening ZEN, the eighteenth, assigned to Carthago, Carthage; Zildron, opening KHR, the twentieth; Krpanib, completing ZAA, the twenty-seventh, assigned to Median territory; Saxtomp, opening MAZ, the sixth, assigned to Numidia; and Zirzid, completing MAZ, assigned to Parthia. The Governor rows for these last two spell the King's name Gebabel rather than Gebabal, a five-to-two split the surviving material itself carries and that this atlas records as a variant spelling of one King rather than resolving silently in either direction.
The zodiac sign now attached to Gebabal, like every King's, is a later reconstruction over the tribe of Asher, since the angelic sessions record no sign directly. Gebabal is distinct from the seven Kings of the Heptarchia, the separate weekday system of De Heptarchia Mystica from the same Dee and Kelley collaboration.
