Beasts (Mythical Creatures)

Legendary land animals of myth, large or small, such as the Behemoth of the Hebrew Bible, the White Tiger of Chinese cosmology and the squirrel Ratatoskr who runs messages up and down the Norse world tree. An entry belongs here when its article presents a mythical land animal that is not a dragon, serpent or hybrid. The group page lists related creatures together so that a reader can compare how one kind of being appears across cultures and stories.
