Boastful Giant Bird Demons (Mythical Creatures)

Giant bird figures that boast of their own greatness and are brought down by heroes, such as Vucub Caquix of the Maya Popol Vuh. An entry belongs here when its article presents a bird demon of this kind. The group page lists related creatures together so that a reader can compare how one kind of being appears across cultures and stories. Entries are placed by what their own article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group that its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
