Choosers of the Slain (Mythical Creatures)

Female figures of Norse myth that choose the warriors who fall in battle and bring them to Odin's hall, namely the Valkyries. An entry belongs here when its article presents a being that selects the dead on a battlefield. The group page lists related creatures together so that a reader can compare how one kind of being appears across cultures and stories. Entries are placed by what their own article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group that its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
