Desert Spirits (Mythical Creatures)

Beings that haunt desert wastes in Arabic and Islamic lore, such as the ghoul and the nasnas. An entry belongs here when its article presents a creature of the empty places that threatens travellers. The group page lists related creatures together so that a reader can compare how one kind of being appears across cultures and stories. Entries are placed by what their own article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group that its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
