Mythical Animals (Animals and Totems)

Creatures that exist only in legend but serve as spirit animals and emblems, such as the dragon, Pegasus, the phoenix and the unicorn. An entry belongs here when its article presents a mythical animal as a spirit guide or symbol. The group page lists animals of one kind together so that a reader can compare their symbolic and spiritual roles across traditions. Entries are placed by what their own article says, so each one sits in the narrowest group that its source supports, and the group page lists it beside the other members.
