Bahram ibn Mardanshah

Bahram ibn Mardanshah was a Zoroastrian priest notable for translating the important Sasanian era historical chronicle known as the Khwaday-Namag from Middle Persian into Arabic. Little is known about his life; he came from the town of Shapur in the southern Iranian region of Fars, and may have lived in the eighth or ninth century, as he first appears in the account of the Persian historian Hamza al-Isfahani, who died after 961.
