Yusuf Hamadani, known in full as Abu Yaqub Yusuf al-Hamadani, was a Persian Sufi of the Middle Ages who lived from 1048 or 1049 to 1140. He was the first of the group of Central Asian Sufi teachers known as the Khwajagan, the Masters, of the Naqshbandi order, and his shrine stands at Merv, in present day Turkmenistan.
