The First Anglecyn Church of Odin was founded in Melbourne in 1936 by Alexander Rud Mills, an Australian barrister and writer who was one of the earliest proponents of the rebirth of Germanic Neopaganism in the twentieth century. Mills was also an anti-Semite interned in 1942 for his Nazi sympathies and fascist beliefs.
