Modern Witchcraft & Wicca

Modern witchcraft and Wicca gathers the twentieth century founders and popularizers of Wicca as an initiatory religion, from Gerald Gardner's founding lineage through the Alexandrian tradition to the feminist and eclectic witchcraft that grew alongside it. A figure belongs here for practicing or founding within the modern Wiccan and witchcraft revival, distinct from the historical ceremonial magicians whose own working predates it and from the accused and prosecutors of the early modern witch trials.
