Gender

This page groups historical religious figures by gender, letting a visitor separate, for example, the women prophets and mystics a tradition recorded from the men. Wikipedia defines gender as "the range of social, psychological, cultural, and behavioral aspects of being a man (or boy), woman (or girl), or portraying a third gender." Many traditions recorded far fewer women in positions of religious authority, so this grouping also shows that imbalance directly.
