Aidan A. Kelly

Aidan A. Kelly is an American academic, poet and influential figure in the Neopagan religion of Wicca who developed his own branch of the faith, the New Reformed Orthodox Order of the Golden Dawn, founded in October 1967 and evolved into a Wiccan coven by 1969. He was also initiated into Gardnerianism and Feri in subsequent decades, was an important figure in creating the Covenant of the Goddess to protect the civil rights of American Wiccans, helping write its charter in 1975, and published the controversial 1991 academic study Crafting the Art of Magic on the early development of Gardnerian Wiccan liturgy.
