Zahabiya Sufism, also known as the Zahabiya Silsila, is a Shiite order whose dervishes trace their history to the third century AH and to Ma'ruf al-Karkhi. Some accounts hold that the order originated in the ninth century AH in Iran, first becoming popular in Khorasan and then in Shiraz during the early Safavid period.
