The Gospel-Covenant, or the Covenant of Grace Opened is a series of sermons on Zechariah 9:11, the blood of thy covenant, preached by Peter Bulkeley at Concord, Massachusetts Bay Colony, and first published in London in 1646, with an enlarged second edition in 1651 and a third edition in 1674. Dedicated to Oliver St John, later chief justice of the Common Pleas, the work expounds the covenant of grace at the center of New England Puritan federal theology, and later historians of American religious thought count Bulkeley, alongside Thomas Shepard, John Cotton and Thomas Hooker, among the divines whose preaching gave the Massachusetts churches' covenant theology its fullest practical expression in the years leading to the Cambridge Platform of 1648. It is considered one of the first substantial theological works composed in and for New England.
