An albumen silver print, dated 1874 to 1875, from a series of seance photographs taken for the physicist and chemist William Crookes, who investigated the medium Florence Cook and the figure calling herself Katie King, said to materialize at Cook's seances. This print shows the materialized figure together with Dr. James Manby Gully, one of the sitters present. Held today by Harvard Art Museums.
