Home›The Quran›Hizb, the Sixty Half-Parts›All Hizb, the Sixty Half-PartsBrowse ByAll Hizb, the Sixty Half-PartsThe sixty half-parts, or ahzab, formed by dividing each of the Quran's thirty juz into two roughly equal halves, giving reciters a finer-grained pacing unit than the juz alone. Like the juz, a hizb is a recitation and memorization convention rather than a structural or thematic division of the Quran's own text, and a hizb boundary can fall in the middle of a verse or a surah. Some printed Qurans mark a hizb further into quarters for still finer pacing, but those quarter-marks are not treated as their own textual unit in this atlas.FactsAll Hizb, the Sixty Half-PartsSourcesComments (0)Reader Challenges (0)FactsComparisonCanonical CountWell-attested60 1All Hizb, the Sixty Half-PartsFilter Results60 entriesOriginates In LanguageAllClassical Arabic (60)Attributed ToAllMuhammad (60)In GroupAllHizb, the Sixty Half-Parts (60)Belongs To TraditionAllIslam (60)Parent ScriptureAllThe Quran (60)LanguageAllClassical Arabic (60)Show ResultsBrowseCompareSelect all 60Hizb 1The QuranHizb 10The QuranHizb 11The QuranHizb 12The QuranHizb 13The QuranHizb 14The QuranHizb 15The QuranHizb 16The QuranHizb 17The QuranHizb 18The QuranHizb 19The QuranHizb 2The QuranHizb 20The QuranHizb 21The QuranHizb 22The QuranHizb 23The QuranHizb 24The QuranHizb 25The QuranHizb 26The QuranHizb 27The QuranHizb 28The QuranHizb 29The QuranHizb 3The QuranHizb 30The QuranHizb 31The QuranHizb 32The QuranHizb 33The QuranHizb 34The QuranHizb 35The QuranHizb 36The QuranHizb 37The QuranHizb 38The QuranHizb 39The QuranHizb 4The QuranHizb 40The QuranHizb 41The QuranHizb 42The QuranHizb 43The QuranHizb 44The QuranHizb 45The QuranHizb 46The QuranHizb 47The QuranHizb 48The QuranHizb 49The QuranHizb 5The QuranHizb 50The QuranHizb 51The QuranHizb 52The QuranHizb 53The QuranHizb 54The QuranHizb 55The QuranHizb 56The QuranHizb 57The QuranHizb 58The QuranHizb 59The QuranHizb 6The QuranHizb 60The QuranHizb 7The QuranHizb 8The QuranHizb 9The QuranSources1.
