Held today by the Victoria and Albert Museum under accession IM.121BB-1910.

Facts
Subject Matter
Devotional Function
Consecration drawings of this kind were rolled and inserted inside a completed Tibetan Buddhist sculpture, in this instance a figure of Buddha Sakyamuni, as an internal component of the finished image rather than an object meant to be seen; scholarly and public knowledge of them is possible only because they were later removed from the statues that had concealed them. 1
