An America Magazine report on the 2023 Bolivian Catholic Church abuse scandal that followed the discovery of Jesuit priest Alfonso Pedrajas's private diary, detailing his own recorded abuse of as many as 85 minors, the Vatican's dispatch of Monsignor Jordi Bertomeu to Bolivia, and the Bolivian Bishops' Conference's public response.

Reliability Tier2
Reliability tier 2: a Jesuit-published review with a record of independent investigative reporting on abuse inside its own order, noted here for that institutional proximity, corroborated by Catholic World Report's separately edited coverage of the same events. NotesTier 2: published by the Jesuits, the same order Pedrajas belonged to, which is a real proximity worth naming even though its reporting on this case has been critical rather than protective; cross checked against Catholic World Report, an editorially independent Catholic outlet, for the same figures.
