The Latvian National Film Database record (filmas.lv, LMDb), administered by the National Film Centre of Latvia, for the 2018 documentary "Baltu ciltis" ("Baltic Tribes: Last Pagans of Europe"), co-directed by Lauris Abele and Raitis Abele and produced by Tritone Studio with financing from the Centre's own centennial fund. The database's own synopsis asks of "Europe's last pagans... what they did, what they believed in, and what made them strong," and describes the film as following a thirteenth-century Gotland merchant, Larss, through the lands of the historical Baltic tribes, including the Curonians, Latgalians, Selonians, Semigallians, Prussians and Samogitians, at their peak development before Christianisation.
