States the Church of Scotland's General Assembly voted 309 to 182 to permit a minister or deacon in a same-sex civil partnership to be called to a congregation, quoting the Reverend David Arnott that no Kirk Session may be coerced into doing so against its own wishes. States each congregation retains the right to decline, the decision maintaining the church's existing definition of marriage as between a man and a woman while permitting local autonomy in a minister's or deacon's call.
