Tyr-Brakteaten fran Naglum, File Record (Wikimedia Commons)

Wikimedia Commons, read 2026-08-18

A Wikimedia Commons file record for a drawing by Gunnar Creutz of the Tyr bracteate from Naglum, Trollhattan, Vastergotland, Sweden, captioned "The motive from the Tyr bracteate from Trollhattan, Vastergotland, Sweden. Drawing by Gunnar Creutz. The bracteate shows the Norse god Tyr with Fenrir biting his hand." The record gives the object's find by the farmer Anders Larsson together with a second gold bracteate at Ladugarden, Ladugardsbyn, in Naglum parish, and catalogues it under the Swedish History Museum accession number SHM 1164, independently confirming the find site and museum and stating the Tyr and Fenrir identification without hedging.
