De Arte Cabalistica (On the Art of Kabbalah)

De Arte Cabalistica is Johann Reuchlin's own sixteenth century primary text, the work in which the seventy two three letter groups derived from Exodus chapter fourteen are first treated as pronounceable angelic names through the added suffixes el and yah. It is the documented hinge between the earlier Jewish derivation of the seventy two names and the Christian angelology later built on top of it, a specific, traceable textual link rather than a general claim about Renaissance scholarship. Use it to establish what Reuchlin's own text actually says and did; a claim about how later Christian Kabbalists developed his naming scheme further needs its own separate source.
