A 565 page report of an inquiry the Government of Ireland set up in 2003 to identify complaints and allegations made against clergy of the Catholic Diocese of Ferns before April 2002, and to examine how both the diocese and the civil authorities responded. Presented to the government on 25 October 2005, it identified more than 100 allegations of child sexual abuse made between 1962 and 2002 against 21 priests connected to the diocese, and found that successive bishops of Ferns failed to protect children, allowing known abusers continued access to them. It was the first of Ireland's state inquiries into clergy abuse, ahead of the later Murphy and Cloyne reports the atlas already carries.
