A peer reviewed study of #WitchTok, the TikTok hashtag community of self identified witches and Pagan practitioners, examining how digital, consumer and material culture intersect there: short videos teaching spellcraft and folk practice sit alongside the sale of witchcraft-branded merchandise, and the platform's own recommendation algorithm shapes which practices and practitioners become visible. Argues the phenomenon is a genuine site of religious transmission entangled with consumer capitalism, not simply either one or the other.
