2009 Resolutions (International Society for Krishna Consciousness Governing Body Commission)

ISKCON Governing Body Commission, Sri Mayapur Dham, 12 to 23 February 2009

ISKCON's own Governing Body Commission lists, among its resolutions from its Annual General Meeting at Sri Mayapur Dham, 12 to 23 February 2009, Resolution 317, "Action and Public Statements of Hridayananda Das Goswami": "The GBC has carefully reviewed the recent action (giving blessings) and the public statements of Hridayananda Maharaja concerning homosexuality," concluding that they "remain controversial and divisive in ISKCON" and are not endorsed by the GBC. The resolution responded to a same-sex commitment ceremony blessing Hridayananda Das Goswami had given in California in November 2008.
