Museo Cabrera (institutional record)

Museo Cabrera's own custodial record, cited here as the institution's self account, describes the Ica museum founded by the Peruvian physician Javier Cabrera Darquea and its display of the engraved stone collection he assembled. Its authority is limited to what it is, a standing private museum's own account of its founding and its holdings, not an independent scholarly assessment of the stones themselves. The stones Cabrera collected were later shown to include modern forgeries produced by the farmer who supplied many of them, so this source is useful for the museum's provenance and self presentation, never as evidence for the stones' authenticity or Cabrera's own interpretive claims about their origin.
