A transcribed primary source, the Salem Village Church Book, hosted by the University of Virginia Library's Salem Witch Trials Documentary Archive. Opens with the covenant "agreed upon and consented unto...the Church of Christ in Salem Village...on the 19th November, 1689," lists Samuel Parris as "Pastor," and records the congregation as what became the First Church of Danvers, Congregational. Also documents the 1694 to 1695 disciplinary conflict inside the congregation over Parris's conduct during the witch trials.
