Srimad-Bhagavad-Gita, English translation and commentary

Swami Swarupananda's translation of the Bhagavad Gita was chosen for a specific, checkable reason recorded in its own file: an alternative translation, Telang's Sacred Books of the East volume 8, prints the Gita as continuous prose with no verse numbers, so a verse-level citation from it would be this atlas's own inference rather than a quotation of the text's actual numbered structure. Swarupananda's edition preserves verse numbering, letting a specific verse be checked directly, a real methodological reason for the choice rather than a claim about either translator's institutional standing. Use it for the wording of a specific numbered verse of the Gita; it is a translation from within the Advaita tradition, so a claim resting on a different school's reading of the same verse needs a source from that school.
