The Mystical Qabalah is Dion Fortune's own 1935 text, her primary systematization of the Qabalah's Tree of Life for Western esoteric practice, and it remains one of the most influential twentieth century occult manuals on the subject. As the primary text it is the correct source for what Fortune herself taught, in her own words and system. Its limit is that it presents one practitioner's own occult synthesis, drawing selectively on Jewish Kabbalah and reworking it for a Western esoteric readership, not a scholarly account of Jewish Kabbalah's own history and meaning, so a claim about Kabbalah as understood within Judaism needs a source from that tradition or its scholarship rather than Fortune's adaptation of it.
