Christopher McIntosh's The Rosicrucians, The History, Mythology and Rituals of an Esoteric Order, published by Weiser in 1997, is an accessible scholarly history of the Rosicrucian movement from the seventeenth century manifestos through its later revivals, by a historian who has published widely on Western esotericism.
