The Victoria and Albert Museum's own collection record for "Samuel Anointing David," a circular lead plaquette attributed to Master H.G, possibly Hans Jamnitzer II, made in Nuremberg circa 1580. The record gives museum number A.36-1927, a diameter of seventeen centimetres, and a physical description of Samuel anointing the kneeling David with oil from a horn, surrounded by David's shepherd items, Jesse seated with family members, David's brothers, an altar of sacrifice and a messenger summoning David from his flocks.
