Wikipedia's article on the World Alliance of Reformed Churches, community-edited. Reliable for its founding at the Uniting General Council held in Nairobi, Kenya from 20 to 30 August 1970, merging the Alliance of Reformed Churches Throughout the World Holding the Presbyterian System with the International Congregational Council into a single body of Presbyterian, Reformed, Congregational and United churches spanning over a hundred countries. Also reliable for WARC's own further merger, in June 2010, with the Reformed Ecumenical Council, forming the World Communion of Reformed Churches, the body a prior lead had misnamed as itself founded in 1970.
