Origin from 2026

At its 71st General Assembly, held 21 to 23 April 2026 at Changhua Christian Hospital in Changhua, Taiwan, under the theme One Heart in Love, Bound in Fellowship, the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan gathered 619 members alongside honored guests from thirteen ecumenical churches and institutes including bodies from the United Kingdom, Canada, the United States, New Zealand, Wales and Tuvalu. On 22 April, the denomination signed a memorandum of understanding with the Tuvalu Christian Church to facilitate joint evangelical ministry between the two Pacific rim Reformed churches. The assembly elected the Reverend Wang Tsung jen as its president and named 2026 the Annum of Institutional Mission, its own designation for a year focused on strengthening the denomination's institutional partnerships abroad. World Communion of Reformed Churches general secretary Philip Vinod Peacock addressed the assembly, praising the church's solidarity with the marginalized and its willingness to pay a price for justice.
