On 5 March 2025, the Texas House of Representatives adopted House Resolution 404, recognizing 5 March 2025 as Zoroastrian Day at the State Capitol in Austin. State Representative Salman Bhojani, the first South Asian and first Muslim American elected to the Texas House, read the resolution on the House floor to host the Texas Zoroastrian community and representatives of FEZANA, the Federation of Zoroastrian Associations of North America, whose Advocacy Committee organized the visit to inform state lawmakers about the more than eleven hundred Zoroastrians who have lived and worked in Texas for over five decades. The reading was followed by a meet and greet, a tour of the Capitol and the placing of a Zoroastrian religious text in the Texas State Capitol Chapel. FEZANA held a second day of engagement the following day at Rice University in Houston, where Fondren Library mounted an exhibit on Zoroastrianism as part of the same visibility campaign.
