Zoroastrian calendar festivals, Nowruz, the new year, and two of the six Gahambar seasonal feasts, Maidyozarem and Hamaspathmaidyem, drawn from the tradition's ancient Iranian calendar. Nowruz in particular is also kept far beyond Zoroastrian communities as a secular cultural new year across Iran and Central Asia, so its presence here reflects its religious origin, not a claim that everyone marking it today does so as a religious act.
