Ancient Egyptian (Atenist) Sites

Atenist sites are held apart from the broader Ancient Egyptian grouping because Atenism briefly replaced, rather than joined, Egypt's existing pantheon: Akhenaten's reign centered worship on the sun disc Aten alone and suppressed the cults that had preceded it. A site tied to that specific reform is filed here rather than folded into the general Ancient Egyptian entry, which covers the polytheistic tradition Atenism interrupted and which resumed after Akhenaten's death. The distinction is doctrinal, not merely chronological.
