Temples of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, kept apart from the wider Christian Sites grouping because Latter-day Saint temple worship, ordinances such as baptism for the dead and eternal marriage performed only for members in good standing, differs sharply from congregational Christian practice and from the ordinary meetinghouses the church also maintains. The Salt Lake Temple, dedicated in 1893 after forty years of construction, is the anchor entry.
